Hi.

I started this sweet mini sock about 8 years ago. It’s a design by a. bradley needlearts. At that time, she was designing a line of dogs and cats mini socks and I asked her to do one of a Birman for my Perry and she obliged. Well I started him and life got in the way but I came across him the other day and decided he needed to be finished!

Ashley provided an excellent background stitch for the sock which I’ve started but I was auditioning beads for the white stitches. I couldn’t decide if I wanted just a bead, a snowflake with a bead on top, or a blue sequin with a bead on top. I asked the multi talented and knowledgeable stitchers in the Needlepoint Nation Group on Facebook. Everyone, myself included, thought the snowflakes were too much. The overall concensus was that it would look best with the sequins and the beads and everyone was right! When I move the sock back and forth the light hits the sequins and it really sparkles!

I took this picture last night under the light to show the sparkle as much as I could. It shouldn’t take me much longer to get the background done and then I will start on his furry face. I am planning on using Whisper and Impressions and then brushing it up.

Until next time, be kind to one another and keep stitching!
