Hi.

Welcome to my web site. I hope you stay awhile and enjoy the view. May you take time to enjoy the beauty around you and enjoy your day!

Two finishes and progress!

Two finishes and progress!

Well I finally pushed myself to get both the July Strawberry and the Lime Monogram done. It seems like I’ve been working on them forever!

It seems like these two little pieces took forever. Well it did considering I started them both around the same time last year. I have Essential Tremors so I can’t sit and stitch for long periods of time like I used to. My hands start to misbehave and I have to stop and give them a rest. It is something that is frustrating but I am thankful for any time I am able to put into this beloved hobby of mine.

I have also made progress on my Flag Strawberry, although not as much as I’d like:

This one has been particularly challenging because I was using threads that were meant for a 13 mesh canvas and this strawberry is 18 mesh. Well, some of it I ripped out and some I don’t have the patience to rip out. I am of the thought that once it goes in, done. Unless it’s really really really off, I say screw the needlepoint police! Life is too short, let the chips fall where they may! That one star is going to have to come out though, I did do it in skip tent, was going to fill in beads but the braid is too big. My other big challenge has been to find stitches for the different stripes! oh so many to choose from and which ones will work? It’s still a work in progress so we will see how it turns out.

Until next time, be nice to one another and keep stitching.
